The Colors of Christ
The Colors of Christ
Michael Swartzentruber, Senior Minister
Galatians 3:26-29
“Colorblindness” is not the goal. Paul offers one of the most enduring images of Christian life in his fiery letter to the church at Galatia. It is an image of oneness that does not ignore the differences of his time and context, differences that were at work in destructive ways. Instead Paul names and transforms how these differences might be reconciled in the oneness of Christ. He offers our broken and embattled world–struggling with the pervasive sin of racism and white supremacy–a way to courageously recognize what needs to be reconciled.
