We practice:

No Creed But Christ: All Are Welcome

What unites us is not a doctrine, historic creed, or theological system; but service to the world in Christ’s name and with his hope-fueled love.

We ask new members to confess only: “Do you believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God, and do you promise to spend the rest of your days figuring out what that means?”

All people are welcomed into membership and the full life of the church.

Priesthood of All Believers: Everyone Can Participate Fully

We celebrate and empower every person to learn, grow, serve, and lead in Christ’s deeper way of love. Every person is created in the image of God with unique gifts and strengths needed for the flourishing of Christ’s church. This includes:

• • The gifts of women in ministry are received and celebrated in the full life of the church as: members, deacons, ministry leaders, Elders, and ordained clergy.

  • The gifts of LGBTQIA+ people are affirmed and celebrated in the full life of the church as: members, deacons, ministry leaders, Elders, and ordained clergy.

The Lord’s Supper: Every Week All Can Share

At the table we connect anew to God and one another with the bread and cup of Christ. Communion is celebrated in worship every week. The table is open, meaning all people are invited to take part and share in the wonder of God’s sustaining love.

Baptism: Fully Immersed

In baptism we embrace newness of life. We practice full immersion in the waters symbolizing Christ’s death and resurrection.  We respect the baptisms of other traditions, including infant baptism, and do not require anyone to be re-baptized.

Scripture: Full Freedom to Enter The Whole Story

Scripture is our shared, cherished story of God’s unrelenting love for us. We encourage curiosity and enjoy the freedom to interpret Scripture in all its inspiring and challenging complexity.
